CC-199 is a two component epoxy resin coupling layer that is mainly used to directly support a gel coat in difficult application areas where glass cloth cannot be laminated accurately. When cured with Hardener, the CC-199 forms a coupling layer that offers a high temperature resistance and low coefficient of thermal expansion. This system can be used for high temperature tools. The material is also suitable as an interlayer adhesion product between polyester gel coats and the use of epoxy laminating backing structure.
CC-199 Epoxy Coupling Coat should be mixed with the Hardener at a ratio of 100 parts of resin to 12 parts of hardener, by weight. This system has a working of around 20-25 minutes. CC-199 is de-mouldable in 16-24 hours and is grey in colour.
