SpaceWax 850A is a liquid, fast-evaporating release agent. SpaceWax 850A can be applied on metal and thermoset-moulds. In addition, on porous surfaces SpaceWax 850A acts as a sealer.
APPLICATION:
SpaceWax 850A is used for pre-treatment of moulds in processing of, for example: epoxy-, polyester- and vinyl-ester-resins. 850A is mainly used in processing of highly adhesive thermosets. Therefore, it works especially well on polyurethane-resins.
APPLICATION NOTES:
Apply 850A by using a brush, cloth or spraying device. Subsequently distribute “wet-in-wet”, until the solvent has evaporated and an even, opaque film has formed. Persistent polishing leaves a high gloss mould surface. New moulds have to be treated this way three to five times. The mould is now ready for series-production. Multiple demouldings with high gloss finish quality are possible now. If the demould performance decrease, apply another layer. A previous cleaning procedure is normally not necessary.
